1. Our Commitment
Morton Street is committed to protecting inboxes. We only send email to recipients who have directly requested it — by subscribing to our newsletter, engaging us as a client, submitting a contact or job application form, or otherwise explicitly requesting to hear from us. We do not send unsolicited commercial email (UCE), and we do not tolerate its use by anyone using our Services.
2. Opt-In Only
All Morton Street email lists are built through first-party opt-in. We do not purchase, rent, trade, scrape, or harvest email addresses from any third party. Morton Street sends email on three distinct streams:
- Newsletter emails, sent only to recipients who have explicitly subscribed via our website.
- Client and project communications, sent approximately as needed to active and prospective clients regarding engagements, proposals, and platform or service updates. Every non-essential email includes a visible unsubscribe or opt-out option; unsubscribe requests are permanent and honored within 24 hours.
- Transactional emails, such as contact form confirmations, job application confirmations, and scheduling notifications, sent only in response to a user's direct action on our site.
3. Transactional vs. Marketing Mail
The majority of email Morton Street sends is transactional — contact form confirmations, scheduling notifications, and client updates for active engagements. Any marketing or outbound messages we send are delivered only to verified, opted-in recipients, and every such message provides a clear path to unsubscribe.
4. Unsubscribe
Morton Street honors unsubscribe and opt-out requests promptly. The mechanism depends on the type of email:
- Newsletter and marketing messages include a visible unsubscribe link in the message footer. Clicking the link removes the recipient's address from the relevant list permanently.
- Client communications can be stopped at any time by replying to the message or contacting us directly. Changes take effect immediately and stop all future non-essential emails on that thread.
Unsubscribe requests are honored within 24 hours and are permanent — we do not re-add addresses to any list once a recipient has opted out.
5. Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
All Morton Street mail streams are authenticated with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Our sending infrastructure publishes its records in public DNS, and DKIM signatures align with the mortonstreet.ai From header. Mail that fails these checks is not authentic Morton Street mail.
6. Prohibited Use of Morton Street Data
Clients access business contact and project data through Morton Street's Services. Clients may not use this data to send unsolicited bulk email, perform list-washing against their own mailing lists, or otherwise violate the CAN-SPAM Act (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK), or any other applicable anti-spam law. Violations result in account termination and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. See also our Terms of Service.
7. Reporting Abuse
If you have received any email that appears to come from Morton Street that you did not request, please forward the message — including full headers — to fox@mortonstreet.ai with the subject line ABUSE REPORT. We investigate every report and, where warranted, remove the offending address and disable the responsible account.
8. Spoofing and Impersonation
Mail that purports to come from Morton Street but fails SPF, DKIM, or DMARC alignment is not authentic Morton Street mail. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Morton Street, do not click any links or open any attachments — please forward it with full headers to fox@mortonstreet.ai so we can investigate.
9. Compliance with Applicable Law
Morton Street's email practices are designed to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (EU/UK), and other applicable anti-spam and data-protection laws. Every marketing email identifies Morton Street as the sender, provides a functioning unsubscribe mechanism, and includes a valid physical contact method on request.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Anti-Spam Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
